Boston University: Facing Fear, Trusting God #2

KLove’s encouraging word of the day: “Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.” Romans 12:12

Currently listening to: Oceans // United

“Your sovereign hand will be my guide. Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me, You’ve never failed and You won’t start now.”

I’m at school a week early for a community service program called FYSOP and my focus area is homelessness and housing. The past couple days I have learned the importance of holding onto hope. We (the H&H group) listened to a guest speaker named Sheryl yesterday- she is a remarkable woman who has had an incredibly difficult life. At age 13 she ran away from an abusive home and remained homeless for the next few decades as she found herself in all sorts of circumstances I’ll never be able to comprehend. The one thing she said though, was that the thing that kept her going was hope. So, as EB White wrote, “hold onto your hope” and remember that when we are facing fear, we should also be trusting our great God and savior, Jesus! He will never leave us.

Blessings, Marissa
