What I’m Reading {Pride and Prejudice}

I know that I’m terribly late to the party, but over winter vacation I watched Pride and Prejudice (the 2005 version) and then bought a copy of the book to read on the flight back to school. It’s safe to say that I’m completely obsessed and that Jane Austen has redeemed herself–Emma was a horrible introduction to Austen’s work.

Next on my list is Anna Karenina; I’m determined to read it before watching the movie because I did the opposite with Pride and Prejudice and am having minor regrets. However, I just wrapped up my second reading of P&P, and it gets better every time.

Also, a side note: If you ever find yourself in Boston, I highly recommend Brookline Booksmith! It’s where I found a copy of Anna Karenina, and I’ll be back for Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. The shop also does a rad little thing called grab bags. You can get a bag of used books for $1, and I got a bag of French books!

Happy reading!
