Unshakeable Hope (and why we have it)

Happy Easter everyone! He is risen!

Today, Pastor Adam said two things that really stuck out to me:

  1. Because Jesus is alive, we have unshakeable hope. He isn’t going to fail us, and he came to save everyone–not just the people in the first century. We have unshakeable hope because Jesus is coming for us, and he has defeated death. If we put our hope in this world, we will be disappointed. Jesus isn’t going to disappoint us.
  2. We read the last few versus of Matthew 28, which recounts the resurrection of Jesus. I love Mathew 28:20. “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Even though sometimes I feel alone, I am glad that I never really am alone. Jesus has promised to stay with us, through the Holy Spirit, until he comes back for us. He never left us.

So, friends, Joyeuse Pâques, and rejoice in our unshakeable hope.
